Serial actor and Bigg Boss celebrity Dinesh arrested

Tamil serial star and ‘Bigg Boss’ reality show participant Dinesh Gopalasamy (35), known for his unique presence that captivated fans, has been arrested by police near Panakudi in Nellai district. A case has been registered against him for cheating a young woman by promising a job in the electricity board and swindling ₹3 lakh.

According to a complaint filed by the young woman’s father from the Panakudi area, Dinesh used his fame to get close to the woman’s family and built trust by saying, “I will arrange a good job in the Tamil Nadu Electricity Board.” He collected a total of ₹3 lakh as fees for this. However, when no job materialized, the disappointed family filed a complaint at the local police station.

Upon receiving the complaint, Panakudi police quickly located and arrested Dinesh. Initial interrogation has raised suspicions that he may have carried out similar fraud schemes on several others. Dinesh gained fame by playing key roles in serials like ‘Mahan’ and ‘Poove Poochoodava’. In 2020, he participated in ‘Bigg Boss Tamil’ Season 4 and won fans’ hearts with his lively nature.

This incident is quickly eroding fans’ trust in small-screen and reality show celebrities. Police have already produced Dinesh in court and remanded him. Further investigation is underway
