If you’re one of those people who like to just hit the highways as an escape from the drudgery of the city, you’ll be locked up in yet another drudgery called the ‘toll plaza line up’. Which sometimes may extend beyound hundreads of metres.

Guess what, the Madras High Court has asked the National Highway Authority of India to make separate lanes for faster movement. No, wipe that grin off your face. This is only for VIPs, including sitting judges of the High Court. Why, because their time is much more valubale than ours apparently. The court also has warned NHAI of contempt proceedings if they fail to comply to the court’s order.

Nobody else can use this separate lanes. “It is disheartening to note that the vehicles of VIP and sitting judges are stopped at the toll plazas and asked to show the ID proof,” High Court said.
