Second gas leak in Vizag: True or false?

The Vizag police have said that there was no second gas leak from LG Polymers chemical unit at Vizag's RR Venkatapuram on Thursday night. People living within the 2 km radius were evacuated as a "precautiously measure".
On the contrary, several media reports Thursday night said that vapours were seen coming out again from the unit's tankers. "People spotted smoke gushing out at 9.30 pm and called the local Police," a report said.
The Municipal Commissioner was quoted as saying that "Temperature inside tanks was increasing, thereby leading to vapours emission for the second time." The emissions subsided soon enough, as per the reports.
About 500 kg of Para-tertiary butyl catechol, airlifted to Vishakapatnam from Gujarat, is now available. This will be sprayed as an antidote. "Since there was vapour emission last night again- the authorities were waiting to administer PTBC," CNN News-18 reported.
The Hindu, on Friday, reported that the night-time panic on Thursday was triggered by social media rumours.
