Sasikumar against Ajith?

After the stupendous success of ‘Vedhalam’ in which Thala power even defied the deadly Chennai rains, director Siruthai Siva is getting ready to begin ‘Thala 57’ from July 15th and reports are coming in Ajith is doing a Bondesque role to be shot entirely on foreign shores.

As of now Anirudh has been confirmed as the music director and unconfirmed reports suggest that Anushka would be the leading lady.  There is a powerful antagonist’s role in ‘Thala 57’ for which Vijay Sethupathi was approached, but could not do due to his busy schedule.  Now the buzz is that actor-director Sasikumar has been approached to play the baddie.  It is unknown yet if things have fallen into place, but it would rather be interesting to see Sasikumar who has carved a niche for himself as successful rural hero as the opponent of Thala Ajith.
