There is no introduction required for the National award winning actress Saranya who has become the quintessential mother of Kollywood. She has been more popular and successful after she made a reentry about a decade ago playing mother roles than her short stint as a heroine.
It has to be said that Saranya has played a large variety of mother characters from rural to urban, educated and uneducated, smart and timid and she has also been the right choice for 'Amma' sentiment roles with scope for comedy.
While people started feeling that she is being typecast as the 'most affectionate and ever sacrificing' mother, her role in 'Bangalore Naatkal' came as a refreshing change. In this film too, she is the mother of one of the lead actors (Bobby Simha) but she is a mother who is more concerned about her desire to live a high-class life.
Now it seems we can expect another surprise or even a shocker from Saranya. Reliable sources reveal that Saranya plays a negative character for the first time in her upcoming film 'Achamindri' and her's is the main negative character in the film. We can be assured that Saranya would steal the show with her first ever negative character, given her expertise in acting.
'Achamindri' is being directed by Rajapandi of 'Ennamo Nadakkudhu' fame and it stars Vijay Vasanth and Srushti Dange in lead roles.
