Santosh Shoban, who was recently seen in 'Ek Mini Katha', is currently doing a comedy titled 'Prem Kumar'. Produced by Sharanga Entertainment's P Shiva Prasad and helmed by debutant Abhishek Maharshi, this one features Rashi Singh as the female lead.

The makers have said that only 20% of the production works are pending. Also featuring Krishna Chaitanya, Ruchitha Sadineni, Krishna Teja, Sudarshan, Ashok Kumar, Prabhavathi and Madhu, Prem Kumar's release date will be announced after the second wave subsides.

The male lead plays a groom whose wedding is snapped after the bride's boyfriend plays a foil. He grapples with quirky situations in life with a funny face. His frustrations from the main theme of the movie, the makers revealed.

Written by the film's director and Anirudh Krishnamurthy, the film will be high on comedy. If Rampy Nandigam is cranking the camera, Anant Srikar is composing music. Penned by Kittu Vissapragada, the film will recommence its shoot soon.
