Comedian turned hero Santhanam is one of the notable actors in the Tamil film industry. He was recently seen in director Rathna Kumar’s ‘Gulu Gulu’, which got a mixed response from the audience. It is already known that Santhanam has teamed up with the Kannada director Prashant Raj for his 15th movie as a lead actor.
Tentatively called ‘Santa15’, the makers revealed the title and first look poster of the film today on the special occasion of Vinayagar Chathurthi. Santhanam and Prashant Raj’s project is officially titled ‘Kick’ and the first look poster shows Santhanam floating in the sky. The actor’s posture with multiple hands resembled a god’s idol. It is touted to be a unique rom-com flick.
‘Kick’ will be a Tamil-Kannada bilingual venture with music by ‘Bhajarangi 2’ fame Arjun Janya, who is making his Tamil film debut along with director Prashant Raj. It is worth mentioning that Prashanth Raj won the Filmfare Award for Best Director for his Kannada debut film ‘Love Guru’ in 2009 and also directed the films: ‘Gaana Bajana’, ‘Zoom’ and ‘Orange’.
‘Kick’ is produced by Naveen Raja under the banner Fortune Films. Sudhakarr Raj takes care of the cinematography and Nagooran Ramachandran handles the editing with stunt choreography by Ravi Varma and David Castillo. The songs and teaser of ‘Kick’ will be released soon as stated in the first look poster. Stay tuned.
