Ravi Babu Goes Dark and Gritty with Razor, Wraps Shoot and Targets Summer Release

Actor-filmmaker Ravi Babu has always followed an unconventional path in Telugu cinema, constantly reinventing himself as a director, technician, and performer. Known for his fearless experimentation and offbeat storytelling, Ravi Babu once again steps into unexplored territory with his upcoming film Razor, which marks a stark tonal shift from his recent light-hearted entertainer Enuguthondam Ghatikachalam.

Presented by star producer Suresh Babu under the prestigious Suresh Productions banner and produced by Flying Frogs, Razor sees Ravi Babu taking on dual responsibilities as both director and lead actor. The film ventures into a dark, intense world of violence and psychological tension, promising a gripping cinematic experience.

The makers have now wrapped up the film’s entire shoot and marked the occasion by unveiling a striking poster along with a special glimpse. In the visuals, Ravi Babu is seen in a brutal and savage avatar, killing a villain using a car engine valve cover—instantly establishing the film’s raw and violent tone. According to the team, the storyline is being touted as a first-of-its-kind attempt in Telugu cinema.

Earlier, the title glimpse of Razor had received a strong response, particularly from fans of the thriller genre, further heightening expectations. The film’s technical crew includes cinematographer Charan Madhavaneni, music composer SS Rajesh, and action choreographer Satish Poloju, all of whom play a key role in shaping the film’s gritty atmosphere.

With post-production currently progressing at a brisk pace, the makers have reaffirmed that Razor is slated for a theatrical release this summer. Given Ravi Babu’s reputation for pushing boundaries, the film is generating considerable curiosity among audiences eager to see him in this intense new avatar.
