Samantha’s dalliance with martial art

Samantha Ruth Prabhu, who is currently doing Ram Charan's 11th movie and a biopic of Mahanati Savithri, has got into a new hobby.  She is practicing Silambam, a weapon-based Indian martial art with origins in Tamil Nadu.

Posting a short video of her practicing the same in a gym, all while looking into the mirror, Samantha said, "Because I like a challenge".  The soon-to-be-married actress apparently believes in trying new things from time to time.  Her enthusiasm for such challenges is infectious.

At a time when top heroines like Tamannah, Anushka and now Shruti Haasan have done/are doing roles that have something to do with martial arts, Samantha learning Silambam could well come in handy in future.  You never know!
