Chiranjeevi and Mohanlal to Team Up for the First Time in Mega 158!

Megastar Chiranjeevi is set to share the screen with Malayalam superstar Mohanlal in his upcoming film, marking their first-ever on-screen collaboration. Reports indicate that Mohanlal has agreed to play a pivotal role in this highly anticipated project.

Directed by Bobby Kolli, this film—tentatively referred to as Mega 158—reunites the successful duo from Waltair Veerayya. Produced by KVN Productions, shooting is scheduled to commence in March 2026.

Mohanlal is reportedly essaying a powerful character, possibly in a ‘Godfather’-like role opposite Chiranjeevi. The movie is shaping up to be a grand gangster action drama with strong emotional depth. Cinematography will be handled by Nimish Ravi, while the selection of other cast members and technical crew is underway. Sources suggest this will be one of the most expensive films in Chiranjeevi’s career.

Despite being close friends for years, this marks the first time the two legendary actors will act together.

Chiranjeevi is currently focused on Anil Ravipudi’s Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu, slated for release on January 12, 2026. Following that, his socio-fantasy epic Vishwambhara is expected to hit screens in the summer of 2026.
