The Telugu social drama Dhandoraa has successfully completed its censor formalities and is ready for its theatrical release tomorrow. Set against the rural backdrop of Telangana, the film delves into caste dynamics and social hierarchies through a grounded, realistic narrative.
Directed by Murali Kanth Devasoth, Dhandoraa features an ensemble cast led by Shivaji, alongside Navdeep, Nandu, Bindu Madhavi, and Ravi Krishna.
The Central Board of Film Certification has cleared the film with a final runtime of 136 minutes. However, the certification process drew attention due to the nature of the mandated changes. As per reports, a total of 16 excisions and modifications were suggested by the CBFC. These primarily involved the removal or muting of cuss words and caste-related references in the audio, with corresponding adjustments made in the subtitles as well.
Produced by Ravindra Benerjee Muppaneni under the Loukya Entertainments banner, the film is backed by music composed by Mark K. Robin, whose score has played a key role in shaping the film’s intense emotional tone.
With censor clearance secured and strong pre-release interest around its socially relevant theme, Dhandoraa is all set to arrive in theatres tomorrow, positioning itself as a content-driven rural drama that aims to spark conversation while engaging mainstream audiences.
