Samantha Akkineni opens up on disaster ‘Jaanu’

What does Samantha Akkineni think about the lousy performance of ‘Jaanu’ at the box-office?  Released on February 7, the romantic drama had the ‘Oh Baby’ actress in a performance-oriented role.  She did the movie after avoiding it initially.  Does the star actress think that her decision to act in the remake of a classic has paid off? Or does she regret doing the remake of ’96’ (Tamil)?

The ‘Majili’ actress has finally opened up.  “Irrespective of the box office result, this film changed me. I learned to give a little more of myself to my art.  And for that, I will always be grateful for #Jaanu,” Sam today said.

Directed by C Premkumar and starring Sharwanand as the hero, the film has not clicked with the audience for several reasons.  While it is up to Dil Raju to ponder over them, the audience have made it clear that some kind of love stories never entice the Telugu audience.
