Bollywood Producer Salim Akhtar Passes Away Introduced Rani Mukerji

Veteran Bollywood film producer Saleem Akhtar has passed away at the age of 82. Active primarily during the 1970s and 1980s, Akhtar produced numerous Hindi films. He was known for several successful movies, including the 1993 hit Phool Aur Angaar and the Aamir Khan-starrer Baazi in 1995. He also launched actress Rani Mukerji in Bollywood through the film Raja Ki Aayegi Baraat in 1997.
Among his notable productions are Sarhadon Ki Baraat (1980), Loha (1987), Patwara (1989), Baazi (1995), Izzat (1968), and Baadal (2000).
Saleem Akhtar passed away on April 8 at a private hospital in Mumbai. The cause of his death has not been disclosed by the family. Tributes from fans, celebrities, and film industry members have poured in, mourning the loss of the renowned producer.
