‘Salaar’, which resumed its shoot at Hyderabad’s Ramoji Film City earlier this month, has got a fresh update. Jagapathi Babu has been roped in to play Rajamannar, a seemingly power-packed and loud character.
Director Prashanth Neel, who is known for larger-than-life antagonists, seems to have given the senior actor a violent character.
Jaggu Bhai will be seen soon in ‘Tuck Jagadish’ (the Nani-starrer will stream on Amazon Prime in September), Sai Dharam Tej’s ‘Republic’ (October 1st release) and Sharwanand’s ‘Maha Samudram’. He has also shot for Rajinikanth’s ‘Annaatthe’, Prabhas’ ‘Radhe Shyam’, Balakrishna’s ‘Akhanda’ and Keerthy Suresh’s ‘Good Luck Sakhi’, among others.
As for the rest of the cast of ‘Salaar’, Shruti Haasan has shot for two schedules of the movie. Also featuring Mohan Guruswamy in a key role, ‘Salaar’ is produced by Hombale Films. Its music is by Ravi Basrur of ‘KGF’ fame. Bhuvan Gowda is its cinematographer.
