Sai Pallavi’s ‘Saranga Dariya’ clocks a spectacular record super-fast

The lyrical video of ‘Saranga Dariya’ from ‘Love Story’ has created a new record. It has become the fastest in the history of the Telugu film industry to garner 100 million views. In the history of South Indian cinema, it’s the second-fastest to clock the figure. The fastest one to amass the coveted figure was ‘Rowdy Baby’ (Tamil), which too features Sai Pallavi (alongside Dhanush).

Composed by Pawan Ch, the song has lyrics by Suddala Ashok Teja in the style of a Telangana folk song by the same name. The lyrical video shows that Sai Pallavi’s screen presence is going to be spectacular. Sivangi, Tarangi and suchlike are creative usages. Mangli’s energetic voice reminds us of the highly underrated ‘Bullet’ song from ‘George Reddy’. Unlike ‘Vachinde’ from ‘Fidaa’, this is purely a heroine-centric song.

The song recently courted controversy when singer Komali sought credit for her collection.

‘Love Story’, directed by Sekhar Kammula, will release on April 16. It stars Naga Chaitanya as a Zumba trainer and Sai Pallavi as an aspiring danseuse.
