‘RRR’: Postponed officially to bounce back in future

“In spite of our relentless efforts, some situations are beyond our control,” the makers of ‘Roudram Ranam Rudhiram’ said today, announcing the terrible news of the film’s indefinite postponement. As has been speculated, the film is skipping a theatrical release for now. 

The high-stakes film has been postponed keeping the best interests of all the involved parties in mind. The makers hinted that it’s a painful decision. “Our sincere thanks to all the fans and audience for their unconditional love,” they added in the statement.

With Delhi, Maharashtra and several other regions either closing down theatres or restricting the occupancy limits, the decision was a foregone conclusion in closed circles. Since SS Rajamouli, Jr NTR and Ram Charan were touring cities, everybody assumed that the makers wouldn’t be going back on the plan to release the movie on January 7. It was nearly clear all along that distributors and exhibitors would have other plans. 

After Delta, it is Omicron that has taken a toll on ‘RRR’. 

As of now, the release of ‘Radhe Shyam’ on January 14 remains.
