The official teaser for director Saravana Rajan’s ‘R.K.Nagar’ released today amid a wide reception in all social media. The 95 second teaser seems to pack elements that is sure to pique the curiosity of the viewers.
Starting off with a disclaimer, the teaser throws in jabs at the contemporary political scenario right off the bat, especially with reference to the upcoming elections. The teaser hints at a comedy movie that is flavoured with serious content like electoral issues and the state of contemporary politics.
After his outing in ‘Meyaadha Maan’ actor Vaibhav seems to be in form with the ‘local guy’ makeover touting impressive one liners. The teaser also asks serious questions (eg: How did amma die) to which characters display silence and easily gets away with it, surprisingly making us feel that this would be a fun movie as well.
The teaser also hints at an efficient music score by Premgi Amaren as the bgm leaves you with a comic feeling about the teaser amidst all the serious content it has. With reference to key issues like Sri Lankan Tamils and pop culture references like Big Boss’s Oviya, the teaser misses nothing.
And going by the teaser, one could expect a movie that entertains as well as make us ponder over issues. The film has an ensemble cast of Vaibhav, Sampath, Sana Althaf, Inigo Prabhakaran , Anjena Kriti and Sri.
Venkatesh is the lensman for the film while Praveen K.L has handled the editing for the movie.
Presented by director Venkat Prabhu, ‘R.K.Nagar’ is being bankrolled by Badri Kasturi and V.Rajalakshmi under the production banner of Black Ticket Company.
