Director Magizh Thirumeni instilled confidence in me that no one else could portray this role except me,” said actress Regina Cassandra.
Regina Cassandra plays a crucial role in the film “Vidaa Muyarchi,” directed by Magizh Thirumeni and produced by Lyca Productions, starring Ajith Kumar and Trisha. The movie also features actors like Arjun, Aarav, Nikhil Nair, Dasharathi, and Ganesh, with music composed by Anirudh. After two years, Ajith’s film has been warmly welcomed by his fans.
In a recent interview with a private news organization, Regina expressed her thoughts. She shared that typically, big-budget films and star-studded movies do not offer significant roles for women, and she has often been disappointed by how female characters were written in many major films.
She further stated that working with Ajith Kumar and director Magizh Thirumeni gave her inspiration. “The director reassured me that no one else could do justice to this character except me. I trusted that he had written a role that would truly justify my potential. I appreciate his belief in me to portray such a complex character,” she said.
Regina also emphasized that the way a female character is written directly reflects the strength of the film’s story. “That’s why I trust my directors. However, some directors have let me down in the past. Now, I only agree to roles where I can sense uniqueness in the story,” she concluded.
