Faf Du Plessis is a renowned South African cricket player. He has been an integral part of Chennai Super Kings in the past and is now leading the Royal Challengers Bangalore in IPL. The outstanding cricketer recently launched his autobiography book, ‘Faf: Through Fire’.
The 39-year-old batter and fielder has opened up about why CSK is so special to him in the autobiography. It is worth mentioning that he was signed by the Yellow Army even before his international debut. An excerpt from Faf: Through Fire reads, “For me, CSK is more than just a cricket team. My elder daughter took her first steps in the CSK team hotel, which was celebrated by the team.”
“A year down she came down with typhoid fever in the same hotel. I spent many days with her in hospital. During that time, the csk staff and doctors at the hospital embraced and supported us if we were their only responsibility. Hospital staff once had to rush me to a game, and I arrived just in time. CSK wasn’t concerned about me running late. They wanted to know how my daughter was doing and whether my wife and I were okay. That’s CSK, and I loved every minute of my time with them,” the book said.
