Ravi Teja’s mother cries before media

Ravi Teja's mother, Rajya Lakshmi, had tears in her eyes while speaking to a TV channel.

"Ravi has been dragged into the drugs issue.  He would never do such a thing.  He worked hard to be what he is today.  He doesn't know anything else but work and family.  He used to tell Bharat and Raghu (younger brothers) to stay away from bad company," she said.

The actor doesn't like if his family members even raise their voice in anger, she said.  "He is a very soft person.  We are honest people and we fear none.  He is a straightforward person and doesn't need to be shrewd.  Our problems are transient.  But if there is a conspiracy (to tarnish Ravi Teja's image), those who are doing it on purpose will not hold," she said.  "Bad time anukovali," she added.

The mother said that her younger sons too were framed in drugs issue in the past.  "Vallani irikincharu," she said.
