Actress Rashmika Mandanna has sparked debate with her Instagram post criticizing the Telangana government’s decision to clear 400 acres of forest land to build an IT park.
The move has been met with protests from students of Hyderabad Central University and environmental activists. Reports indicate that when government authorities attempted to take control of the land using bulldozers, student demonstrators resisted, leading to multiple arrests.
Expressing her disappointment, Rashmika Mandanna shared her reaction on social media: “I just saw this news. I am heartbroken after seeing this. I am sorry, this is not right, this is very, very wrong.” She also included a broken heart emoji in her post.
Following her statement, the issue has gained more public attention, with many social activists appreciating her stance.
