Despite two consecutive Rajinikanth films underperforming at the box office, Lyca Productions is reportedly set to collaborate with the superstar once again.
Lyca had previously backed ‘Lal Salaam’, directed by Rajinikanth’s daughter Aishwarya, and ‘Vettaiyan’, helmed by Gnanavel. While ‘Vettaiyan’ received somewhat positive reviews, its box office performance fell short of expectations. Meanwhile, ‘Lal Salaam’ struggled both critically and commercially.
Now, reports suggest that Lyca is in talks with Rajinikanth for another film to compensate for the financial losses incurred by the two previous projects. If this new venture proves successful, it could help the production house recover from its recent setbacks.
Notably, other Lyca productions, including Indian 2, Vidamuyarchi, and Chandramukhi 2, have also failed to meet commercial expectations.
