Rashmika Mandanna takes up a new role as a part of the Central Government’s initiatives

Actress Rashmika Mandanna, who recently became a victim of a deepfake video scandal, has now taken on a new role to fight back against cybercrimes. The Ministry of Home Affairs has appointed Rashmika as the brand ambassador for the Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre (I4C), an initiative aimed at combating the growing menace of online threats.

In a video shared on her social media platforms, Rashmika expressed her thoughts on the dangers of cybercrime, saying, “Cybercrime is a dangerous threat affecting individuals, businesses, and communities worldwide.” She emphasized the importance of raising awareness to protect people from these online dangers. 

“Having experienced the impact of cybercrime firsthand, I feel a deep sense of responsibility to create awareness, protect people, and bring about positive change,” Rashmika added. She expressed her gratitude to the central government for the opportunity to spearhead this initiative and stressed the need for vigilance and safety in the digital age.
