Superstar Rajnikanth’s Darbar gets a Bollywood villain!

Superstar Rajnikanth and director AR Murugadoss have joined hands for the action thriller Darbar after their respective hits Petta and Sarkar, and the team has been shooting at a brisk pace in Mumbai. Darbar is being produced by Lyca Productions, their second collaboration with Rajni after 2.0.

While it has been announced that Superstar will be seen playing a police officer, it has been revealed that Bollywood actor Prateik Babbar, who has played lead roles in movies like Issaq and also seen in negative characters in movies like Baaghi 2 has been roped in to play the villain in Darbar.

The actor had shared the news in a recent interview saying that his Baaghi 2 act had got him the offer, and he’s currently a part of Ranbir Kapoor starrer Brahmastra. Darbar also stars Lady Superstar Nayanthara, and has music by Anirudh and cinematography by Santosh Sivan. Darbar has been announced as a Pongal 2020 release.
