Months after Kollywood star Dhanush and Aishwarya Rajinikanth announced their mutual decision to separate, multiple reports claimed that the couple decided to give their marriage another shot.

In addition to that, a recent report by a news agency quoted a source as saying that Dhanush’s father-in-law Rajinikanth sat the couple down to talk them into giving their marriage another chance. In response to a question regarding Dhanush and Aishwarya’s reconciliation, the former’s father Kasthuri Raja had said, “I don’t know,” and added, “My wife and I can live a good life even without the support of our children. The only expectation we have is for them to be happy. Nothing else. And anything that hampers their happiness is also a problem for us. We are happy when they are happy.”

Earlier this year, Dhanush and Aishwarya requested people to respect their privacy while announcing the news of their separation on social media. “18 years of togetherness as friends, couple, as parents and well-wishers to each other The journey has been of growth, understanding, adjusting and adapting… Today we stand at a place where our paths separate… Aishwaryaa and I have decided to part ways as a couple and take time to understand us as individuals for the better.
