As we very well know, the last few days there have been pressing demands from the political and several members of the film fraternity to boycott the IPL . The general notion is that the popularity and the influence of the game will overshadow much serious issues : ongoing protests for Cauvery and Sterlite.
Rajinikanth suggested that IPL authorities might consider halting the games keeping in mind Cauvery and Sterlite, if not atleast players could wear black badges as a sign of protest. Rajini also suggested youngsters and people could go in black for matches and register their protest.
However, netizens have taken this a notch up asking the Superstar himself to don the black and visit the ground with a placard, so that the impact will be much larger and so the protest would gain immense traction. Will Rajini take note of this request?
