Last month it was announced that Superstar Rajinikanth’s ‘Kaala’ will hit the screens on April 27. The announcement came from the film’s producer Dhanush. However the Kollywood strike started after that and has been going on for more than a month now and there seems to be no signs of the strike ending soon.
So it is expected that ‘Kaala’ release will be delayed not only because of Kollywood strike but also because the protest situation in Tamil Nadu owing to the Central Government’s failure to form the Cauvery Management Board to ensure TN gets its rightful share of Cauvery water from Karnataka on time.
Unconfirmed sources indicate that ‘Kaala’ release may be shifted to June 2018, probably for the Eid weekend staring 14th or 15th of June. We will have to wait for an official confirmation regarding this.
‘Kaala’ directed by Pa.Ranjith has been censored already and it has acquired a U/A certificate.
