Indian cinema's legendary actors Rajinikanth and Mohan Babu were recently spotted together at the Hyderabad airport, sharing a friendly moment as they made their way through the premises. Rajinikanth and Mohan Babu have always shared a close relationship, often referred to as a brotherly bond. This camaraderie was evident during the filming of "Annaatthe" in Hyderabad, where Rajinikanth spent almost two days at Mohan Babu's residence.
Their on-screen collaboration in the 1995 film "Pedarayudu," a Telugu remake of "Nattamai," further strengthened their connection. The film, directed by Ravi Raja Pinisetty, featured Mohan Babu in a dual role and also starred Raja Ravindra, Bhanupriya, Soundarya, Subhashri, Anandaraj, and many more. "Pedarayudu" holds a special place in cinematic history as it is Rajinikanth's last proper Telugu film to date.
Mohan Babu is currently gearing up for his next film, "Kannappa," a mythological fantasy film directed by Mukesh Kumar Singh. He will be playing a key role in the film, which stars his son, Vishnu Manchu, and revolves around the legend of Kannappa, a devotee of Lord Shiva. The film boasts a stellar supporting cast, including R Sarathkumar, Arpit Ranka, Kaushal Manda, Rahul Madhav, and cameo appearances by Prabhas, Mohanlal, Akshay Kumar, and Kajal Aggarwal.
Rajinikanth is currently focusing on his upcoming projects. He has recently wrapped up shooting for "Vettaiyan," directed by TJ Gnanavel, which features Amitabh Bachchan, Rana Daggubati, and Fahadh Faasil in key roles. The film is set to feature Rajinikanth as a retired police officer unraveling a mystery.
The superstar is expected to complete his dubbing work for "Vettaiyan" soon and will then begin shooting for "Coolie," directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj.
