Rajamouli’s film with Hollywood studio confirmed

Celebrated writer Vijayendra Prasad of ‘Baahubali’ fame has revealed that SS Rajamouli is going to collaborate with a Hollywood studio for his next. Without saying anything about the film’s specific cast, he clarified that the film will be rooted in Indian content.

The scale of the untitled project, however, will be global. He suggested that it will be a live animation movie.

The comments have made Rajamouli’s fans say that the ‘RRR’ director is going to go international in the coming years. In 2019, there were unverified reports which said that the celebrated filmmaker was in talks with a Hollywood production house. Had ‘RRR’ released in 2020, by now, this project would have seen progress. Rajamouli is also scheduled to direct a Mahesh Babu flick.

Rajamouli has gone international with ‘RRR’ itself. Recently, Netflix announced that the post-theatrical screening rights of the Jr NTR-Ram Charan starrer in English, Portuguese, Korean, Spanish and Turkish are held by it. The big-ticket film will release in multiple foreign languages.

More details about Rajamouli’s next project are awaited. In the latest interview, Prasad didn’t commit anything about the Mahesh Babu film.
