Even before 'Oh Baby' released, its Hindi remake was on the cards. Right in early June, Suresh Productions said that it had been working on the remake. "A big Bollywood production house is in talks with D Suresh Babu. A star heroine will step into Samantha's shoes for the remake," an official source said at that time.

Versatile Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt is said to be under consideration for the titular role. She will reprise Samantha in this potential hit.

Alia will be seen as Sita opposite Mega Power Star Ram Charan in 'RRR'. As a heroine of a Rajamouli movie, she has become an even more popular name in the Telugu States. Come 2020, she will most likely entertain the audience as Sita in 'RRR' and Baby in the remake! She is also doing a couple of other projects, including the epic 'Brahmastra', co-starring Ranbir Kapoor, Amitabh Bachchan, and Akkineni Nagarjuna.
