‘Radhe Shyam’ is the only pan-India movie in the Sankranthi race this year. Starring Prabhas and Pooja Hegde as timeless lovers, the film is directed by Radha Krishna Kumar.
Earlier today, a rumour went out that the movie has been postponed indefinitely. After ‘Roudram Ranam Rudhiram’, ‘Radhe Shyam’ was said to have bid goodbye to the audience. But the talk is false. The buzz is that the movie is very much up for a grand worldwide release on January 14. UV Creations is taking all steps to ensure the much-awaited release.
That said, the distributors and producers are also watching out for the progress of the third wave. At the rate things stand, the daily caseload might cross the 75,000 mark by January 14 in the country. But the Telugu markets may not be affected adversely, given the anticipated lag between the wave in other States and in the Telugu States. If there is no pall of uncertainty, ‘Radhe Shyam’ will hit the screens.
