Indian badminton player PV Sindhu is set to marry young businessman Gauravelli Venkata Dutta Sai. The wedding is scheduled to take place on the 22nd of Decemer at Udaipur. A grand reception will be hosted in Hyderabad on December 24.
Dutta, who holds a master’s degree from IIIT Bangalore, serves as the executive director of Hyderabad-based Posidex Technologies, where his father, GT Venteswara Rao, is the managing director.
The couple has been spotted together at matches and movies, but Sindhu’s busy schedule since January led them to plan their wedding for this month. Recently, Sindhu broke a two-year slump by winning the Syed Modi International Tournament. She first rose to prominence in 2013 with a World Championship medal, followed by winning the title in 2019. Sindhu claimed silver at the 2016 Rio Olympics and bronze at the 2021 Tokyo Games, becoming the first Indian to secure two Olympic medals.
In 2017, she achieved her career-high world ranking of No. 2 and aims to continue competing until the 2028 Olympics.
