Zomato delivery boy kidnaps woman’s dog

A woman from Pune has accused a delivery boy associated with Zomato of stealing her pet dog from her area.

The woman grew concerned when the dog, a beagle pup, went missing on Monday and started looking for ‘Dottu’ in and around the house. Based on CCTV footage, the dog was playing in the home-cum factory complex premises around noon before he went missing. When the woman asked a couple of delivery boys in a nearby eatery regarding Dottu, they allegedly informed her that one of their colleagues, a Zomato delivery guy identified as Tushar, was spotted with the dog, which they also captured a picture of. The woman contacted Tushar, who refused to return the pup and later switched off his phone.

To her post regarding the same on Twitter, Zomato responded, “Hi Vandana! That’s totally not acceptable. Please help us with your contact details or the order details via DM and someone from our team will reach out to you at the earliest.” She then approached the police, who promised to help her, even though they refused to register a complaint.
