Mahesh Koneru, the budding film producer, breathed his last earlier today. Known for presenting the Telugu version of Thalapathy Vijay's 'Bigil' and 'Master' in Telugu and distributing a few successful movies, Koneru started out as a journalist in the 2000s and went on to become a noted publicist. He has been one of the most happening producers among the newer lot, currently producing Allari Naresh's 'Sabhaku Namaskaram' and another movie with Sundeep Kishan as the hero. 'Thimmarusu', his most recent movie, was released in July this year.
Koneru passed away due to cardiac arrest in Vijayawada. After years of a successful journey as a publicist, Koneru established the East Coast Productions and scored the first hit with Nandamuri Kalyanram's '118' in early 2020.
An enterprising individual with a strong grounding in technology, Koneru was a key member of the publicity and marketing team of the 'Baahubali' franchise.
Jr NTR deems him a good friend. Moments after the news about Koneru's demise became public, the 'RRR' actor took to social media and wrote, "With the heaviest of heart and in utter disbelief, I am letting you all know that my dearest friend Mahesh Koneru is no more. I am shell-shocked and utterly speechless. My sincerest condolences to his family and his near and dear."
IndiaGlitz condoles the shocking demise of the former film critic. May his family have the strength to overcome the irreparable loss. Om Shanti!
