Producer Allu Aravind’s Mother Kanakaratnam Passes Away

Veteran Telugu comedian Allu Ramalingaiah’s wife and noted producer Allu Aravind’s mother, Kanakaratnam, passed away in the early hours of Saturday at 1:45 AM. She was 94 and had been suffering from age-related ailments. Her demise has left the Allu family and the Telugu film fraternity in deep sorrow.

Several Tollywood celebrities expressed their shock and grief upon hearing the news of Kanakaratnam’s passing. Being the mother of prominent producer Allu Aravind, many stars extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family. Her mortal remains will be brought to the family residence in Kokapet at 9 AM. The arrangements are being personally overseen by her son-in-law, Megastar Chiranjeevi.

The last rites will be performed this afternoon at Kokapet. Her grandsons, Icon Star Allu Arjun and Mega Power Star Ram Charan, are returning to Hyderabad from Mumbai and Mysuru respectively. Meanwhile, Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan and actor-producer Nagababu, who are currently attending public meetings in Visakhapatnam, will reach Kokapet tomorrow to offer their condolences.

Kanakaratnam, who stood as a guiding force for both the Allu and Mega families, leaves behind a legacy that is deeply mourned across the film and political circles.
