Why Priya Mani strictly follows No-Kiss Policy in Films?

Priyamani, a versatile actress who has been part of the film industry for two decades, has successfully worked in Telugu, Tamil, and Hindi films. Throughout her career, she has adhered to a strict policy of not performing kissing or intimate scenes. In a recent interview with News18, she candidly discussed the reasons behind her decision, citing her accountability to her husband and family as the main factor.

During the interview, Priyamani expressed her stance on onscreen kisses, stating, “I won’t kiss onscreen. It’s a firm no for me. While I understand that it’s part of my job and just a role, personally, I wouldn’t feel comfortable kissing another man on screen because I have to answer to my husband.”

The actress further revealed that she has turned down numerous projects that involved such scenes, as she is only comfortable with a kiss on the cheek. She emphasized her desire to ensure that her family does not feel uncomfortable or question her choices. Priyamani explained, “Both sides of my family watch all my projects. They understand that it’s my profession, but I don’t want them to cringe or wonder why their daughter-in-law is engaged in such scenes. I don’t want anyone else touching me inappropriately. Although they might not voice their concerns, it’s my personal choice to avoid such scenes.”

Priyamani, who tied the knot with Mustafa Raj in a private ceremony on August 23, 2017, shared her commitment to maintaining a balance between her professional and personal life.
