According to a story in the Sunday Times, Prince William does not want Prince Harry to be at his future coronation. Set to be crowned following King Charles III's death, the Prince of Wales seeks for his crowning to "look and feel different." Those close to William say that the brothers' distance still causes great concern.
Insiders tell us William and Harry have not spoken in almost two years. Harry's continuous public criticism of the royal family, especially in his memoir “Spare”, has further widened the divide once he left official responsibilities with Meghan Markle.
Concerned about any private talks with Harry, a close friend of King Charles worried that any material would come out in a second memoir. "Rebuilding trust after all is difficult," the person said. Still, the King is considered to be hopeful and to have undiminished capacity for forgiveness. Less forgiving than other family members are, though.
A former Harry's assistant, meantime, said he appeared to lack direction since leaving his royal post. Though his work with the Invictus Games and parenthood still takes front stage, concerns about his future linger. Disappointed by his behavior, Harry's former buddy said, "After Oprah, Netflix, and the book, it's hard to understand how he could turn on his own family like this."
