Actor Prabhu has majorly acted in Kollywood, but he is no stranger to the Telugu audience, thanks to big-ticket movies like Ram Charan's 'Orange', Prabhas' 'Darling', Jr NTR's 'Shakti', 'Dhenikaina Ready', among others. The news is that the senior artist has been admitted to a private hospital in Chennai after experiencing a sudden illness. As per the hospital's statement, he suffered from unbearable stomach pain on Tuesday and was rushed to the hospital in Kodambakkam where he was treated.
The scans revealed stones in his kidney which were then removed with the help of urethroscopic laser endoscopy. He is fast recovering and is expected to be discharged after a couple of days of bed rest.
The 66-year-old actor has done scores of films across languages over the decades.
Most recently, he was seen as Periya Velar Boothi Vikramakesari, Commander of the Southern troops of Chola Empire, in 'Ponniyin Selvan I'.
