Prabhas Opens Up About His Bond with Hombale Films

Pan-India superstar Prabhas is all set to return to the big screen with his upcoming horror-comedy The Raja Saab, scheduled to hit theatres on December 5, 2025. While fans eagerly await the release, the actor recently sat down for a candid conversation with The Hollywood Reporter, shedding light on his ongoing three-film deal with Hombale Films and his personal connection with the production house.

In the interview, Prabhas shared that it was producer Vijay Kiragandur who convinced him to sign the three-film deal. Praising Vijay’s nature, the Baahubali star said, “The way he takes care of people makes me want to work with him. He is easy-going, grounded, and we have somewhat become a family. Right from our first film, Salaar, it feels like home with him.”

Highlighting the shared values between them, Prabhas added, “Like me, he keeps his childhood friends close and doesn’t go out much either. That similarity helped our bond grow naturally.”

Recalling an incident from the sets of KGF, Prabhas revealed that when a fire broke out, there was panic on set due to the film’s high budget. However, it was Vijay who calmed everyone down, saying not to worry about the finances and to focus on the safety and quality of the project.

“I’ve heard similar stories from Kantara and other films. He always tells technicians, ‘Quality is most important for my films.’ That’s exactly why I want to work with him—because he never compromises on quality,” Prabhas noted.

About The Raja Saab

In The Raja Saab, Prabhas takes on a unique role in a genre he hasn’t explored before—horror comedy. Directed by Maruthi, the film follows a young man who plans to renovate his ancestral home in hopes of securing a massive inheritance. However, things take a spooky turn when he discovers the house is haunted by a stubborn patriarchal spirit. What unfolds is a battle of wits and emotions, packed with comedy, romance, and eerie twists.

The film boasts a star-studded cast including Nidhhi Agerwal, Malavika Mohanan, Riddhi Kumar, and Sanjay Dutt, among others.

What’s Next for Prabhas?

Apart from The Raja Saab, Prabhas is currently working on a much-anticipated period drama tentatively titled PrabhasHanu (Fauji), directed by Sita Ramam fame Hanu Raghavapudi. Additionally, the Rebel Star will headline Spirit, a highly awaited project under the direction of Arjun Reddy and Animal filmmaker Sandeep Reddy Vanga.

With a packed slate and strong collaborations, Prabhas continues to reign as one of India’s biggest cinematic forces.
