Prabhas starrer ‘Adipurush’ to release on this new date – Official announcement!

We broke to you last week itself that Prabhas’ mythological drama ‘Adipurush’ will face a delay in theatrical release due to VFX works. The film starring Prabhas as Ram, Kriti Sanon as Sita and Saf Ali Khan as Raavanan was earlier scheduled to hit the screens on Pongal 2023. 

The makers took to social media this morning to officially announce that ‘Adipurush’ is postponed to June 16, 2023. The team released an official statement reading: 

“Adipurush is not a film, but a representation of our devotion to Prabhu Shri Ram and commitment towards our Sanskriti and history. 

In order to give a complete visual experience to the viewers, we need to give more time to the teams working on the film. 

Adipurush will now release on June 16th, 2023. 

We are committed to make a film that India will be proud of. Your support, love and blessings is what keeps us going.

Directed by Om Raut, Adipurush is slated to release in five languages in 3D & IMAX. The epic movie based on Ramayana is produced by T-Series and Retrophiles. The film’s music is composed by Ajay – Atul with cinematography by Karthick Palani and editing by Apurva Motiwale and Ashish Mhatre.
