‘Padi Padi Leche Manasu’ has reportedly earned a distributor share of Rs 1.80 Cr in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana put together on its first day (Friday). Either because of its not-so-meaty trailer or due to competition from ‘Antariksham’, the film has definitely not performed as well as was expected. Sai Pallavi’s presence should have ensured a bigger figure quite easily.
‘Antariksham’, on the strength of its content and Varun Tej’s new-found Box-Office pull, has earned Rs 1.20 Cr in the Telugu States. Given it’s a space thriller and the target audience can’t be expected to be as large as for a rom-com, ‘Antariksham’ trailing ‘PPLM’ is understandable.
