In 2013 there was huge sensation when comedian Powerstar Srinivasan was arrested and lodged in Vellore jail due to allegations over the fraud of crores of rupees from various parties promising them loans.
Powerstar had come out on bail and news has just come in that he has been arrested by the Enforcement Directorate, Delhi in connection with economic violations to the tune of 10 crore rupees. The complaint was given by one Dileep Badwani who was promised a loan of 1000 Crores for which the comedian had received 5 Crores as commission but as usual failed to procure the loan. It is reported that the doctor turned actor will be lodged in Tihar jail.
