Aishwarya Rai’s looks from ‘Ponniyin Selvan’ revealed! – Shooting spot pics go viral

Indiaglitz had already reported that the new schedule of Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan is currently taking place at Orchha, Madhya Pradesh. The principal cast Karthi, Chiyaan Vikram, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Jayam Ravi, Trisha, Prakash Raj and many others are currently shooting for the two-part film in Orchha Fort. The previous schedules of this mega-budget historical fiction happened in Hyderabad and Pondicherry.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has been shooting for Ponniyin Selvan-I for the past few weeks. Last month, she met Varalaxmi Sarathkumar and her sister Pooja in Pondicherry, where a few important sequences were shot. Now, the former miss world was spotted at the PS1 shooting spot in Orchha Fort. Recently, a photo of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s look from the film sets was leaked online.

In the speculated picture, Aishwarya can be seen dressed in a grand pink silk saree with heavy jewellery. She is surrounded by her assistants and the film’s crew as they are getting ready for the shot. As reported earlier, Aishwarya Rai will be seen playing two roles – Nandini and Mandakini Devi. Chiyaan Vikram has also joined the team in Orchha, he was seen spearheading his soldiers from the fort for a scene. Chiyaan is sporting the role of Aditya Karikalan in Ponniyin Selvan.

Ponniyin Selvan-I is slated to hit the screens in the summer of 2022. Produced by Lyca Productions and Madras Talkies, this two-part film is made on a massive budget of 500  crores. This cinematic marvel is an onscreen adaptation of renowned author Kalki Krishnamurthy’s novel of the same name. AR Rahman is composing the music for the film, Ravi Varman cranks the camera, and Sreekar Prasad is taking care of the cuts.
