Police book TV host Kathi Karthika, others in a cheating case

TV host, actor, VJ and politician Kathi Karthika, known for her stint with V6 News, has reportedly been booked by the Banjara Hills police in connection with a cheating case. The former Bigg Boss Telugu season 1 game show inmate and a few others have been accused by a builder of duping him of Rs 1 Cr.

As per Pachipala Dora Swamy, the builder, the TV personality collected the said amount from him by promising to secure construction permissions and No Objection Certificates for a real estate project. Believing her words, the builder allegedly deposited Rs 1 Cr into the bank account of Karrthika BRM Group.

As per the complaint, Karthika and the other men told Swamy that they are authorized to sell a 59-acre plot at Ameenpur.
