‘Pitha Magan’ producer V.A.Durai posts video requesting help for treatment with no money in hand

Producer V.A.Durai was one of the leading producers in the late nineties and early 2000s.  Under his banner Ever Green Movies he has produced several films starring top stars including Sathyaraj’s ‘Ennamma Kannu’ and ‘Veveramana Aalu’, Karthik’s ‘Looty’ and Lovely’, Vijayakanth’s ‘Gajendra’ and Vikram-Suriya’s ‘Pitha Magan’ directed by Bala.

Durai who has been inactive in film production for many years has posted a video in which he has stated that he is penniless now due to suffering heavy losses through the films he produced.  He added that due to severe diabates he is extremely sick and has sought help from the film industry to meet his hospital expenses.

Durai has requested that the video somehow reach Superstar Rajinikanth stating that they share a good friendship of over forty years.  He also served as the executive producer of Rajinikanth’s ‘Baba’ released in 2002.

According to sources actor Suriya who played one of the lead roles in ‘Pitha Magan’ immediately helped with rupees two lakhs for the medical expenses.
