The much-awaited pre-release event of Powerstar Pawan Kalyan’s upcoming courtroom drama Vakeel Saab has been confirmed. It is learnt that the grand and glitzy event will be held at Hitex’s Novotel Hotel, HICC, on April 4 evening. The event will have director Trivikram Srinivas in attendance along with the cast and crew of Vakeel Saab. Hundreds of thousands of Pawan Kalyan fans are expected to throng the event from across the Telugu and neighbouring States.
Initially, producer Dil Raju and the event organisers of the pre-release function have planned to organise the event at Yousufguda Police lines sports complex, but the police department has denied permission owing to the second peak of Covid-19 cases. The government of Telangana has prohibited conducting any public events or functions until April 30 and eventually, the team has approached the Novotel hotel to conduct the event indoors.
A remake of the Hindi film Pink, Vakeel Saab marks the comeback of Pawan Kalyan to films after three years. Directed by Sriram Venu, the film is slated for release on April 9. The makers are planning to organise benefit shows of Vakeel Saab from April 9 early morning and have already approached the department concerned for permission. The team is hoping to get five shows permission so that it will allow more people, especially fans of Pawan Kalyan, to experience Powerstar euphoria in theatres.
Also starring Nivetha Thomas, Anjali and Ananya Nagalla, Vakeel Saab has music by SS Thaman. The film also has Shruti Haasan in a crucial cameo.
