Parthiban selects his mentor’s son for the lead role of his next

Apart from acting in a few exciting projects including director Suseenthiran's period flick 'Maveeran Kittu', veteran actor-director R.Parthiban has launched his directorial venture, uniquely titled in his signature style as 'Koditta Idangalai Nirappuga'.

Parthiban commenced shooting for the film even before finalizing the lead cast. Now he has finalized his mentor, director-actor K.Bhagyaraj's son Shanthanu and Parvathy Nair for the lead characters.

The 'Puthiya Pathai' director has revealed that though he initially considered a debutant to be much apt for the male lead role, he decided to cast Shanthanu who has been struggling for a success in Kollywood despite having good looks and talent. This he feels as a fitting way to show his gratitude to his mentor Bhagyaraj who has been highly instrumental for his present status in the industry.

For Parvathy Nair this will be an important film in Kollywood career after Thala Ajith's 'Yennai Arindhaal' and Kamal Haasan's 'Uttama Villain'.

Parthiban however has not revealed whether Shanthanu and Parvathy are paired up against each other. He wants the audience to watch the film and fill up the blanks.
