Kaala and Pariyerum Perumal get International recogntion!

Last year, Pa.Ranjith had directed his second movie featuring Superstar Rajnikanth in lead role, in Kaala, the socio political entertainer that was produced by Dhanush, and later in the year, Pa.Ranjith returned making his debut as a producer with the Mari selvaraj debut directorial Pariyerum Perumal starring Kathir and Anandhi.

Both the movies made waves with their hard hitting social message, and Pariyerum Perumal in particular becoming a smash hit commercially as well, with great word of mouth and unanimous positive reviews. Following its premiere in various film festivals, Pariyerum Perumal along with Kaala are set ro receive an international recognition next.

Pariyerum Perumal and Kaala have been shortlisted in the First Dalit Film and Cultural festival 2019 conducted at Columbia University and New School, New York, and popular director Nagraj Manjule, Pa.Ranjith and former Miss India earth Niharika Singh have been invited as the guests of the event. Other than these two Tamil movies, Divya Bharathi’s documentary Kakkoos, Manjule’s Fandry and Vicky Kaushal starrer Masaan will also be screened in the festival.
