A Volkswagen GTI today fell off the Biodiversity flyover in Hyderabad's Gacchibowli, resulting in the death of a woman. The accident also injured six others.
As per police statements based on CCTV footage, the accident happened because the user of the car was overspeeding at 104 kmph. Usually, on such flyovers, 40 kmph is considered healthy.
Due to inbuilt safety measures, the car user escaped unhurt. A woman, who was waiting for a bus, died on the spot as the car crushed her. Her kid was lucky to escape because she was a little away.
It's said that the design of the flyover is not user-friendly. It is steep and sharp.
