Indiaglitz had already updated you that the yesteryear actress Amala Akkineni is set to return to Kollywood after 30 years. Amala was one of the leading south Indian actresses in the late 80s and early 90s. She gradually stopped acting in films after marrying famous Telugu star Nagarjuna Akkineni in 1992.
Amala Akkineni is making her comeback to Tamil cinema with the upcoming film 'Kanam'. The bilingual film is made in Tamil and Telugu while the Tollywood version is titled 'Oke Oka Jeevitham'. 'Engeyum Eppodhum' fame Sharwanand and Ritu Varma are playing the lead roles. It is a science-fiction drama directed by Shree Karthick.
Now, the teaser of Kanam just landed on the internet. The 1.5-minute-long video opens with Nassar, who plays a nerdy scientist, explaining his time travelling device. Sharwanand, Sathish and Ramesh Thilak plays three passionate youngsters while Amala Akkineni essays Sharwanand's mother role.
The movie is touted to be an emotional adventure based on the mother-son relationship between Sharwanand and Amala. Kanam also stars Ravi Raghavendra, M.S. Bhaskar, Vaiyapuri, Yog Jappe, Jay Adithya, Nithyaraj, and Hitesh in supporting roles. Jakes Bejoy's stylish score adds more vibe to the promo.
